• With the inclusion of an e-chip, the chipped passport supports Autogate systems at many international airports.

• Travelers can now pass through e-gates in participating countries without long waits, making travel smoother and more convenient.

3. Extended Passport Validity

The new passport offers validity of up to 10 years, reducing the need for frequent renewals and making it easier to plan long-term travel or overseas work and study.

4. Simplified Application Process in Vietnam

Vietnam’s government has also simplified the passport application and renewal process:

• Citizens can now apply online via the National Public Service Portal.

• Appointments and document submissions are handled more efficiently, often eliminating the need for multiple in-person visits.

• Processing time has been reduced in most provinces.
